Which piece of Middle-earth jewelry?
Most of this collection is made by The Noble Collection under licence from Warner Bros., and the designs follow the jewelry seen in Peter Jackson’s films. The same design often comes in more than one metal, so the first choice is usually the material.

Sterling silver, plated or steel?
The biggest difference between two pieces with the same design is the metal. Sterling silver is solid silver alloy, so it can be polished and keeps its colour through. Plated pieces have a thin layer of silver or gold over another metal. They look the same when new but the surface can wear with daily use. The Arwen Evenstar pendant shows the difference well: the collection has a silver-plated version and a sterling silver one, both 2½ inches long with a chain.
Stainless steel is the practical choice for a ring worn every day. The stainless steel One Ring is individually etched, comes with a metal display, and is listed in whole sizes 6 to 14. There is also a steel One Ring on a chain, which is the way Frodo carries it in the films, and a pair of steel One Ring earrings with the verse etched around the outside.
Fans of the films often want the One Ring above anything else, and it comes in the widest range of metals. Besides stainless steel, there is a solid sterling silver ring with the Elvish script laser-etched on the outside. The gold-plated version is cast in sterling silver and plated in gold, with the inscription running around the inside and outside. One retailer listing for it gives a single standard size 10, a wooden collector’s box, a 24-inch chain and a certificate of authenticity. At the top of the range is the 10K solid gold ring, displayed in a wooden treasure box.
Elven pieces
Arwen’s Evenstar appears as a pendant, earrings, a charm bracelet, a bracelet and a ring, all in sterling silver set with crystals. The Galadriel flower necklace and earrings are sterling silver, and the necklace chain is 18 inches. Nenya, Galadriel’s ring, is reproduced in sterling silver with a crystal. The Elven leaf brooch recreates the brooch the Fellowship receives in Lothlórien, in sterling silver and green enamel.

Questions people ask
What is the difference between sterling silver and silver-plated jewelry?
Sterling silver pieces are made of solid silver alloy all the way through. A silver-plated piece has a thin silver layer over a base metal, which can wear with use. The Arwen Evenstar pendant on this page comes in both versions.
What are the One Ring replicas made of?
The Noble Collection makes them in several metals: stainless steel, sterling silver, sterling silver plated in gold, and solid 10K gold. Each version carries the Elvish inscription of the One Ring verse.
What sizes do the One Ring replicas come in?
It depends on the version. The stainless steel One Ring is listed in whole sizes 6 to 14, while some gold-plated versions are only made in size 10. Read the size on each listing.
Is the Elven leaf brooch film accurate?
The Noble Collection describes it as a reproduction of the brooch worn by the Fellowship in the film trilogy, made in sterling silver with green enamel.
